Delete your SettleVa account
You can delete your SettleVa account and its data directly from the app. No request form, no waiting for us.
Open Settings → Delete my account inside the SettleVa app.
Type DELETE to confirm. This step is deliberate — it cannot be undone.
Your account is closed immediately and your personal data is erased within 30 days. You receive no further e-mails from us.
What's deleted vs. kept
Your profile, sign-in, device tokens, receipt images and local data are deleted. Ledger entries you were part of are pseudonymised, not deleted — your name and identifiers are removed, the amounts stay, because the other members’ balances are computed from them. Nobody can trace those entries back to you afterwards.
If you're the sole owner of a live project
Deletion is refused until you transfer ownership or close that project — every group needs at least one owner, and deleting yours would leave the others unable to manage their own money. The app tells you which project needs attention and lets you fix it in a couple of taps.
No longer have the app installed?
E-mail [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my SettleVa account". We verify it is you, then run the same deletion and confirm by reply within 30 days.
